I'm Logan Schulz, the founder of The Shot Finder. I'm a student at BYU living in Provo, Utah, and I grew up in Maine. I've been hooked on business for as long as I can remember — studying people who've actually built something — and this is me building one.
One rule I hold myself to: I don't put my name on anything I don't believe in. Every photographer on this site applied and was reviewed by me before their listing went live.
When I'm not working on this, I'm probably lifting or out on a run.
why this exists
Hiring a photographer usually means scrolling Instagram, messaging strangers, and waiting to find out what they charge. You're about to trust someone with a wedding, a graduation, or your family's photos — and mostly you're guessing.
The Shot Finder puts real portfolios, specialties, and starting prices side by side, so you can compare before you ever send a message. That's the whole idea behind the line on the homepage: don't gamble on a stranger with a camera.
